Proverbs 13:20 “He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.”
We cannot help being shaped by the people we spend time with. They impact our values and priorities. Wise friends have made me wiser through the weekly men’s groups I have been part of since I was a young father. Their influence has been vital to my walk with Jesus Christ and to the health of my life and family. Without the friendship and accountability of wise Christian brothers meeting with me every Friday morning for nearly 30 years, where would I be today?
Father, thank you for the many outstanding, Christ-centered men you have put in my life for accountability and wisdom and mutual encouragement. May you do the same for every member of my family, for the men in my church, and for everyone who wants to be wise.
