Never Tire of Doing What Is Right

2 Thessalonians 3:13 “As for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right.”

This verse is much like Galatians 6:9, “Let us not become weary in doing good.” The Bible repeats this exhortation because it’s easy to become cynical and worn out making tough choices all the time, and it’s tempting to make little compromises with evil. Yet God has called me to work with the highest integrity and truth. And, if I rely on God’s strength, he will give me the energy, drive, and willpower to do what is right – in every situation.

Father, please give me strength and endurance for doing what is right, without even the slightest shadow of giving in to evil. Please do the same for each member of my family. May we shine like stars in the universe, carrying the word of life into every place you lead us. (Philippians 2:15-16)
