Never Give In

Proverbs 25:26 “Like a muddied spring or a polluted well is a righteous man who gives way to the wicked.”

The purpose of a spring or a well is to refresh those who go to it for water. But the spring or well fails in its purpose if it yields undrinkable water. In the same way, people look to a righteous man for clarity, purity, help, life. But if the righteous man has compromised with evil in some way he becomes contaminated and fails in his mission. I must never align myself with evil or give way to the wicked regardless of the intended outcome or because of my fears. Instead, I must provide rigorous thinking based on Scriptural truth to help others put their hope in God and not in a human being or human-centered organization. This is especially true in politics where godless good intentions repeatedly lead to disaster.

Father, thank you for the purity and truth of your Word which clarifies and guides. Please use me today to offer your pure, clean wisdom and help to those who seek it.
