1 John 5:4 “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”
Without God, human beings are entirely overpowered by the world – the way of sin, lies, obsessions, despair, strife, contempt, greed, lust, envy, intimidation, murder. The only way out from its deadly grip is through faith in Jesus Christ. This faith results in such a complete and total transformation that it is like being born anew.
Father, please empower me today to overcome the world in all the ways its values and priorities and attitudes will try to seep into my life. I am your child, reborn, set free, filled with your Spirit. Please use me to impact lives for Christ in the midst of the busyness of work. I need your wisdom to guide me.
