John 3:30 “He must become greater; I must become less.”
These are the words of John the Baptist about Jesus Christ. And they must be my words, every day. Today is not about me, my ambitions, my honor, my recognition, my accomplishments, my impact on the world. No, today is about Jesus Christ, giving him the honor and glory, obeying him, following him, listening to him for guidance. God is at work (John 5:17) and he wants me to join his work, not to obstruct it with focus on myself.
Father, Please use me any way you wish today. Fill me with your Spirit, so that I might love and serve all who cross my path. Help me to serve without expectations for myself.
