2 Corinthians 3:17-18 “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness.”
God’s Spirit living in me is an astonishing part of saving grace. God’s presence brings freedom – most especially freedom from the tyranny of myself. My position in Christ is sealed forever by the Holy Spirit who transforms me day by day into a reflection of Jesus Christ. This is a staggering truth: God himself dwells in me. What I am busying myself with that stifles his presence in my life?
Father, your plan to set human beings free and transform us puts me in awe when I try to grasp its fuller implications. Please keep me from distractions so that I may listen to, obey, and commune with your Spirit, today and every day.
