Proverbs 2:7-11 “He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair — every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.”
There is no aimlessness in the career of a faithful child of God. Through every stage, God intentionally leads his followers. The key is to stay close to him, to live in obedience (upright, blameless, just, faithful), and to seek God‘s wisdom. I have seen this again and again in my own life, even after the many times a direction seemed to be “off strategy”, or to not make sense, or to be inconvenient and the end of a good thing. God’s ways are not our ways. His ways are always much, much better! The key is to trust and obey him, and to always listen for his voice.
Father, thank you for access to your Word and the rich wisdom you offer in it. Make my life a reflection of Christ today. Please use me to win souls and to make disciples, to seize every opportunity. Holy Spirit, fill me.
