James 3:17 “The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure, then peaceable, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.”
This is the antidote to bitter envy and selfish ambition (James 3:14-16). Like the list describing the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5, who wouldn’t want to live and work with people who exhibit this kind of wisdom? Who wouldn’t want a boss and colleagues who are pure, peaceable, considerate, merciful, impartial, and sincere? Regardless of the environment and circumstances God places me in, I want to personally grow in this heavenly wisdom by the power of God’s Spirit.
Father, please fill me with the wisdom of heaven today. Make this day overflow with the good fruit you want to produce in my life at work and at home.
