Proverbs 15:27a “A greedy man brings trouble to his family.”
Money is convertible and renewable; time is not. The man who must always grow his net worth and who spends uncountable hours in pursuit of more money and more status and more attention is going to lose his friends and destroy his family. This tragedy repeats itself day after day. History is filled with cautionary tales. Nevertheless, many men and a few women ignore the warnings and run headlong over the cliff of their own greed.
Father, please keep me from the temptation of greed. Generosity has brought nothing but good to my family. Please continue to help me be faithful in the way I invest my time and resources. I trust you to meet all of my needs. You always have. You always will.
