Blameless

Psalm 15:1-5 “Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill? He whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth … has no slander … does his neighbor no wrong … casts no slur … despises a vile man but honors those who fear the Lord … keeps his oath even when it hurts … he who does these thing will never be shaken.”

God holds his people to a very high standard. It is only through the power of his indwelling Holy Spirit that I have any hope of living blamelessly even for the span of a single hour. But if I yield to him and walk in dependence, my life will indeed be characterized by his nature: righteous, truthful, honorable, faithful; without slander, slur, or treachery; true to my promises; and never in alliance with evil. God promises that this kind of life will never be shaken.
