2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
The more I read, meditate on, study, and explore the Bible, the more grateful I am for its teachings and the impact it has on my thinking and behavior – all for the good. God’s Word equips me for life. It teaches about the realities of sin, of fallen humanity, of a holy God, of love, of redemption, of the beauty and supremacy of the gospel – the good news that every human being longs for, but still so many refuse to believe.
Father, thank you for your Word. Your Word is truth. Your Word became flesh and dwelt among us. There are Christians elsewhere in the world who are suffering and dying for holding to the truths of your Word and for communicating your Word to others. Please protect your servants who risk their lives for the gospel. Fill them with your love and your power so that all who are in bondage may be set free. Help me today to obey your Word in everything I say and do.
