Proverbs 23:3-4 “By wisdom a house is built and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”
Wisdom. Understanding. Knowledge. These are essential to building, establishing, and filling a home, a strong family, a fruitful ministry, a prosperous business, a satisfying career. Acting rashly, failing to listen or ask good questions, and resisting the instruction of others are paths to disappointment and ruin. I need to quiet my ego and the temptation to promote only my own ideas. Instead, I must seek to understand other perspectives and grow in knowledge. In doing so, I’m increasing my chances of finding rare and beautiful treasures of wisdom.
Father, please increase my treasure store of understanding today. Establish my life even more firmly on your wisdom, not only in my thoughts, but especially in my actions.
