Psalm 107:9 “For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”
Status, career, and wealth can never satisfy my deepest longings. Thirst and hunger teach me to depend on my Creator, to wait for his provision, and to diligently seek him. And God answers my dependence with good things – for his glory, for my good, and for the benefit of others. Why look for satisfaction anywhere else?
Father, you are my provider and protector. Though I live in a fallen world and must go through suffering as through a refiner’s fire, thank you for filling my life with satisfaction and many good things.
