Psalm 37:37 “Consider the blameless, observe the upright; there is a future for the man of peace.”
Psalm 37 contains many appeals to wait on God for his protection, guidance, and blessing. Inheritance is also a key theme (“inherit the land”). This verse promises a future for those who obey God, who live according to his Word. In the midst of turmoil and unexpected change, the one who obeys God can rest secure. The future may not be clear, but God will never abandon or forget his children. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Father, I trust in you. You have a future direction and place for me. I have confidence that you will guide even the decisions of people who don’t acknowledge you when it affects my job and life.
