Psalm 90:17 “May the favor of the Lord rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us – yes, establish the work of our hands.”
This is a worker’s prayer, showing dependence on God to bring results from labor. It certainly applies to efforts of the intellect as much as of the hands. The word “establish” is a prayer for results not just here and now, but going into the future under the favor of the Lord. Asking God to establish my work is to ask for continued blessing.
Father, my life is in your hands. With the psalmist, I pray for your favor to rest upon me and my family. Please establish the work of my hands and my mind. I depend on you.
