Ephesians 5:8 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”
Children of light live differently than the darkness around them. Yet we all have a history of darkness. It is easy to slip back into that darkness – unless we live in daily dependence on Jesus Christ who saved us from the blindness of sin and brought us into the clarity and light of his grace, mercy, love, and forgiveness.
Father, please keep me from living, thinking, and acting like a child of darkness. I am yours forever, sealed in your love by your Holy Spirit. May my life today reflect your light so that others will be drawn to you.
